• Joint Doctoral Program at Chitkara University and Deakin University
  The JDP is a pioneering initiative designed to foster innovation, nurture talent, and provide a platform for students to excel as distinguished researchers on the global stage. The program spans four years, allowing scholars ample time to conduct in-depth research. Additionally, students have the unique opportunity to pursue their PhD research across both universities in two different countries, benefiting from dual supervision, enhanced facilities, extensive resources, and expanded funding opportunities.

• Joint Supervision and Collaborative Research
  
  Selected candidates will conduct research under the joint supervision of experts from both Chitkara University and Deakin University, ensuring well-rounded guidance and support.

• Access to Deakin University’s Research Labs
  As part of their doctoral journey, candidates will have the privilege of utilising Deakin University’s cutting-edge research facilities in Australia for up to one year.

• Joint PhD Degree
  Upon successful completion of the program, scholars will receive a PhD degree from both Deakin University and Chitkara University, significantly enhancing their credentials and global recognition as accomplished researchers.

• Fellowship and Financial Support
  Scholars will receive financial assistance throughout their research journey. They will be awarded a monthly fellowship during their residency at Chitkara University. During their residency at Deakin University, they will receive a fellowship equivalent to the prevailing rate of the Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DUPRS). Additionally, Deakin University will provide a full tuition fee waiver for up to four years upon the candidate’s enrolment in the doctoral program.

The eligibility conditions for the JDP are:

• A Master’s degree in a related field, including a research project with a thesis of 10,000 to 20,000 words.
• Consideration of relevant postgraduate research experience, including independently refereed journal articles, publications, or conference papers.
• A mandatory Personal Interview with our Academic Team.
