Admission to GBC Programs 2016–17

For the academic year 2016–17, Chitkara University (CU), in collaboration with George Brown College (GBC) Canada, is offering following program:

  • Joint Three-year Hotel Management & Catering Technology Program

George Brown College and Chitkara University offer joint programs in hotel management to provide Indian students with dual credentials. Our graduates will earn both a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from GBC and an accredited three-year Bachelor’s Degree from CU. Under these dual-qualification programs, students will study for two years at CU and then complete their final year at the GBC campus in Toronto, with the option available to students who qualify, to join a post-graduation work program of up-to-one year in Canada.

Admission Requirements

  • Completion of Class XII in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, at least 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics in Class X.
  • Clearing of an admission interview and an English placement test.
  • Obtaining a minimum score of 6 bands on the IELTS English proficiency test by the end of Semester 3 of the Program.

Fees Structure

  • Rs 80,000 per annum for Hotel Management Program at CU
  • $11,400 CAD per annum at GBC in Canada

The amount mentioned above is the tuition fee only and does not include administrative fees, student association fees, material fees, health insurance, etc.—these are in addition to the tuition fees.
