Workshop on the Heuristic Approach of ECG Interpretation for Promoting Patient Safety

Department of Nursing, Chitkara School of Health Sciences in collaboration with the Trained Nurses Association of India, Punjab State branch is organizing a 2-day workshop on the Heuristic Approach of ECG Interpretation for Promoting Patient Safety. The workshop will be held on the 24th and 25th of May 2023.

This workshop aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to use a heuristic approach in ECG interpretation, which is an effective tool for enhancing patient safety. The heuristic process is a method that involves using rules of thumb and mental shortcuts to make quick decisions in complex situations. In the context of ECG interpretation, the heuristic approach can help clinicians identify potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions promptly and accurately.

The workshop will cover various aspects of ECG interpretation, including rhythm analysis, ischemia, and infarction. Participants will learn to use heuristics to recognize and interpret ECG patterns accurately. The workshop will also provide an overview of the latest guidelines and recommendations for ECG interpretation.

The workshop is designed for healthcare professionals involved in ECG interpretation, including physicians, nurses, and technicians. The workshop will consist of lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, providing participants with ample opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills they learn.

We believe that this workshop will be of great value to healthcare professionals, enabling them to enhance patient safety and provide better patient care. To register, scan the QR code in the poster.
