TWO-DAY FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON “ELECTRONIC DESIGN”

In association with IEEE & IETE technical chapter Chitkara University announces RS sponsored Two-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Electronic Design” with Design Spark PCB & Design Spark Mechanical.

Abstract & Motivation:-
India is one of largest consumers of electronic hardware with a projection of demand going upto USD400 billion by 2020 but our domestic production is estimated at USD104 billion by 2020, creating a gap of USD 296 billion in demand and production. (Source: http://deity.gov.in/esdm). This creates a unique opportunity for companies in ESDM (Electronic System Design & Manufacturing) in India.

We will need electronic engineers who can design and develop electronic hardware in India, build interesting applications & innovating hardware products.

In other to enable electronics engineers to develop hardware based electronic design with ease, RS offers easy to use, easy to learn, professional electronic design software – Design Spark PCB & Design Spark Mechanical for absolutely FREE. Using these design software, electronic designers can quickly build their innovative electronic product designs in no time, without any hassle!!

Aim of this Faculty Development Program (FDP) is to train faculty on essentials of electronic design using RS design software and equip them with teaching material so that they can run a course on electronic design for their students.

Date & Venue:-
Dates – Jan 8-9, 2015
Venue – Chitkara University, Baddi, H.P. (25kms from Chandigarh)
Free of cost Bus Facility will be available from Chandigarh to-&-fro Chitkara University.

Registration:-

• The FDP is open to faculty of engineering institution & industry professionals working in the area of electronic design.
• There is no registration fee for attending the FDP, but prior registration by clicking on the link below is mandatory.

• Your participation will be confirmed by Jan 6 through email.
• All participants will be awarded completion certificate at the end of FDP.
• Arrangement for Lunch & refreshment will be made free of cost on both days.
• Free of cost Bus Facility will be available from Chandigarh to-&-fro Chitkara University. Pick-up points will be communicated to confirmed participants by Jan 6.

Please carry your own Laptops (if possible):-

It is advisable to carry your own laptops and do all the exercises of the FDP on your laptops. Carrying a laptop is not mandatory; we will provide you with the systems.
