Faculty Workshop On Case Based Teaching Methods
Case study has been the most promising method of teaching especially for Business Management programs across the globe for long time. It is highly essential for Faculty/Researchers/Practitioners associated with various B-Schools to understand Case Based Teaching Methods and Case Writing Skills. This two day workshop intends to help participants understand the relevance and nuances of writing cases and using them to create a real time experience in the classroom.

About Resource Person:
Prof. Prakash Singh is an Associate Professor in the Finance and Accounting at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He did his PhD in “Performance Evaluation of Indian Banking Sector Reforms” from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in 2004. He teaches courses in Financial Reporting and Analysis, Corporate Finance, Corporate Valuation and Restructuring, Commercial Bank Management and Management of Financial Institutions at the Post Graduate level in the Management Program. Primarily, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from HBTI, Kanpur (1993-94), Dr. Prakash has also done his Master’s in Business Administration (1997) with specialization in Finance from Department of Management Studies, Lucknow University.
Besides teaching, he has also worked with Escorts Yamaha Motors Ltd and Kotak Mahindra Primus Ltd. Put together; he has more than 16 years of work experience in industry and teaching. During his stint at IIM, Lucknow, he has taken up various training and consulting assignments with various organizations of repute. Some of his prestigious clients include State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Indian Bank, Pradeshik Industrial Corporation of Uttar Pradesh (PICUP), Uttar Pradesh Financial Corporation (UPFC), Pradeshik Cooperative Dairy Foundation (PCDF), Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) etc.

Participation Fee: Rs 2500 per participant (to be paid via DD, drawn in favour of Chitkara University, Punjab). Fee includes the instruction material and working lunch during the workshop.
