Chitkara University Presents S-20/G-20 Outreach Event
Chitkara University is organising the S-20/G-20 Outreach Event on July 31, 2023. This unique event aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and meaningful discussions in the realms of Science, Technology, and Society. The second day of the event will be hosted at PEC, Chandigarh, on August 1, 2023.
The S-20/G-20 Outreach Event is a one-of-a-kind gathering that encourages an inquiry-based, no-PPT, and no-lecture format. It seeks to provide a platform for over 800 science enthusiasts, influencers, and changemakers to come together, share their insights, and explore possibilities for positive change through science and technology.
The event’s inauguration will witness the presence of esteemed personalities who have made significant contributions to the fields of science and technology. Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Ex-Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Chair of S-20, will grace the occasion with his valuable presence. Additionally, Mr. TPS Walia, Senior Vice President of Jio, and Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, will be among the distinguished guests.
Exclusive breakout sessions have been thoughtfully planned to cater to different segments of participants. These sessions will be conducted by renowned academic and industry experts. The participants will be divided into groups, allowing School Students, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students, and Researchers to engage in focused discussions on various topics related to science, technology, and their impact on society. These interactive sessions will encourage meaningful dialogue, innovative ideas, and actionable solutions.
The central theme of the event revolves around the intricate relationship between Science, Technology, and Society. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the interconnectedness of these domains and their role in shaping a sustainable and inclusive future. By emphasising inquiry-based learning and eschewing traditional lecture-based approaches, the event aims to stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity among the attendees.
The first day of the event will take place at Chitkara University; on the second day, the venue will shift to PEC, Chandigarh, expanding the event’s reach and promoting collaboration among academic institutions.
