Chitkara University to co-host its second International Conference in association with INFOMS
Welcome to the International Conference on Management and Information Systems (ICMIS-14) to be organized by International Forum of Management Scholars (INFOMS) in association with Chitkara University, India and American University in the Emirates, Dubai.
Theme of the conference
Despite the vast improvements in information technology, Information Systems cannot as yet take over business management. Business managers often need to make decisions that can affect the business’ fortunes one way or other. While it might be possible to use complex mathematical formulas by hand to compute the best solution, computers transform the whole process into a routine task of feeding certain information as input and obtaining suggestions for best solutions as output. It is the synergy between efficient, accurate and speedy equipment and humans with commonsense, intelligence and judgment that really gives power to MIS.
The purpose of ICMIS is to provide a forum that stimulates discussion on the conference theme and topics related with the theme. The conference will also provide opportunities for networking and collaboration amongst scholars from academia, industry and government. In addition to papers on the conference theme, the scholars are also encouraged to submit papers on any aspect of management and technology such as accounting, marketing, finance, OB, HRM, MIS, quantitative methods, technology management, energy, operations, economics, entrepreneurship, etc.

Registration fee: All participants attending the conference are required to register for the conference. The registration fees are US $295 (by May 31), US $345 (by June 30), and US $415 (after July 30). The full-time student registration fee is reduced by $100. The registration fee (minus US $100 processing fee) will be refunded if a written request of withdrawal is received by July 30. No refund will be given after July 30.
Fee inclusive of: The registration fee includes the Conference kit with proceedings on CD, program bulletin, coffee breaks, working lunches, one-year free membership of International Forum of Management Scholars, admission to all technical sessions and submission of one paper for presentation.
