Chitkara Sandbox 2022

Chitkara Design School organised a design-a-thon named Chitkara Sandbox 2022 on 21-22 Feb, 2023. While the design-a-thon in itself took place on the aforementioned dates, the registration process for the same in November 2022.

We saw an overall participation of almost 200 students in the event, who got direct 1:1 mentorship from top industry experts from industry partners like Google, Newgen, Bajaj Finserv, Moon raft, and Capgemini.

The participants were given problem statements to work on, prior to the design-a-thon, and were provided guidance by the mentors on how to approach said problems. Two checkpoints were organised during the event, where mentors closely reviewed the work done by the teams. The top 12 teams were selected for the final presentation and the top 3 teams won cash prizes of INR 30,000, INR 20,000 and INR 10,000, respectively.

It was a one-of-a-kind experience for the students, where they worked around the clock on solving real-world industry relevant problems. In fact, the design solution proposed and worked on by the winning team has been selected for implementation by Accenture, which was a huge opportunity for our students.

The event was well-organised and received a positive response from both the participants, and the mentors.
