IEEE Conference on Information Management in the Knowledge Economy
Information Management entails collecting, organizing, maintaining and retrieval, dissemination of information to the concerned stake holders.
By late 1990’s, Information Management witnessed a paradigm shift with huge volume of information getting regularly disseminated across computer networks and by other electronic means and became a powerful tool for analysis and rational decision making.
The origin of IT industry in India can be traced back to 1974, when the main frame manufacturer Burroughs utilized the services of Indian Programmers for installing system soft ware for U.S. client. Indian education system gives lot of emphasis to Science and Mathematics.
Aim of the conference:
The principal aim of the Conference is to bring together experts from academia, research and industry and offer a collaborative platform to address the emerging issues related to information and knowledge explosion and management and harnessing of the same through information science and technology.
