The CIFF is a unique platform for aspiring directors to convey their message through this short format. The challenge is to share a great story in a great way. It’s about talent, ingenuity, innovation and creativity – not budget. The films will be judged on their overall impact on the viewer in terms of its concept, acting, sound, and editing.
A short film is any film not long enough to be considered a feature film. No consensus exists as to where that boundary is drawn: the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as “an original motion picture that has a running time of 07 minutes or less, including all credits”
A documentary film is a nonfictional motion picture intended to document some aspect of reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction, education, or maintaining a historical record.

An eminent panel will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules. Films will be principally judged on the overall impact they have on the viewer. Other judging criteria will include Concept, acting, visual appeal, sound, editing etc.
