The Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Govt. of India released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) – India Rankings 2018 for Colleges and Universities on 3rd April 2018 at the Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. The list of winners under different categories was released by Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, Shri. Prakash Javadekar.
Initially, in 2016, NIRF Rankings had four categories —Universities, Engineering, Management and Pharmacy. In 2017, Overall and College categories were added. This Year (2018), the institutes were assessed under nine categories – Overall, Universities, Engineering, Colleges, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture, and Law. This year over 4,500 institutions have applied for the India Rankings.
The framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The parameters of ranking broadly cover Teaching, learning and resources, Research and professional practices, Graduation outcomes, Outreach and inclusivity, and Perception.
Chitkara University, Punjab has been ranked under four categories – primarily – Pharmacy, Management, Overall and Engineering. It’s a matter of pride that our endeavours have been acknowledged and in a short span of time, we have made remarkable growth in each and every sphere of Education. - 50th Rank in India Rankings 2018: Pharmacy (Total Participation: 286)
- Chitkara University, Punjab Ranked in India Rankings 2018: Management (Rank-band: 51-75) (Total Participation: 487)
- Chitkara University, Punjab Ranked in India Rankings 2018: Engineering (Rank-band: 151-200) (Total Participation: 906)
- Chitkara University, Punjab ranked in India Rankings 2018: University (Rank-band: 151-200) (Total Participation: 957)
