It was Tom Alter all the way at Chitkara University
Chitkara School of Languages organised the Annual Event of ‘Toastmasters International Chitkara Club’ dubbed ‘Biographies and Press Conference’ , which was held at Chitkara University, Punjab. It became special as it had a well-known personality, Padma Shri Tom Alter, on the judging panel. He is an ace actor and is known for his Bollywood acting in several successful films.
Apart from Tom Alter, the event also saw an Industry guest Anuradha Verma as one of the judges. The event was also graced by Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Dr. Madhu Chitkara.
The event was designed in a way where participants through a speech portrayed the biographies of celebrities from all walks of fame and thereafter the participants were interviewed by the panel of amateur journalists. The questions were asked from the speech delivered or other aspects of the celebrities’ life.
The competition was between students from Chitkara University, Punjab, and Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. The running Trophy was lifted by Chitkara University, Punjab.
Trichi Chauhan, Shaurya Munjal and Disha Jain emerged as the best speakers. Anantdeep Khosa and Mehak Mehta were declared the second best speakers while Aditi Sharma emerged as the third best speaker. In all, there were 10 participants each from both the campuses.
Taking Tom Alter’s arrival at Chitkara University to another level, Dr Ashutosh Mishra from Chitkara School of Mass Communication interviewed the actor and the telecast went on air at 1PM and 4 PM on November 27, 2013.
