Workshop on Employer Engagement to Inform and Influence Curriculum Development
Chitkara University Punjab and HP gears itself for the much awaited two day project launch workshop Employer Engagement to Inform and Influence Curriculum Development.
The two day deliberation will take place on May 19 -20, 2014 at Chitkara University, Punjab and in Chitkara University, HP campus. The representatives attending the conference include Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and Deans as well as representatives from the industry.
Seven universities from across the length and breadth of India as well as from UK are coming together to Chitkara University discuss, deliberate and debate. The focus being on how the industry input can be better reflected in the curriculum. This will not only make the curriculum – industry relevant but also updated to meet the current needs of the country as well as the global market.

Expected Outcome from the two day meet
The participants would finalise the details of a project plan which each member will take forward in their own University on returning from the Workshop.

The two day deliberation will investigate curriculum design and development in the context of employer engagement with a view to enhance employability skills and preparing students for the world of work.
