Chitkara University Hosts Hackathon on Combatting Hate Speech and Deepfake with AI
Chitkara University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED), in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel, TIE Chandigarh, and IEEE Delhi Chapter, successfully organised a pioneering hackathon on ‘Combatting Hate Speech & Deepfake with AI.’ This event was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aimed at addressing critical global challenges using technology.
The hackathon was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan, who visited Chandigarh and Chitkara University for the first time. The ambassador expressed his appreciation for the university’s warm hospitality and commended the remarkable work showcased by its talented students. He highlighted the pivotal role of education in fostering innovation and critical thinking, underscoring the importance of using technology for positive social impact. The Ambassador lauded the students’ creativity and their groundbreaking ideas, which demonstrated the vibrant and dynamic academic environment at Chitkara University.
