Through the yoga workshop, the students got a chance to experience the transformative power of yoga and learn new techniques that can help them in their daily lives.

These words truly capture the essence of the yoga workshop organized for Chitkarian hostellers as part of Tuning Tuesdays on the evening of 11th April 2023. This initiative by the Office of Student Affairs aimed to bring fun, learning, and joy to the hostellers and provided them with an opportunity to embark on a journey of self-discovery through yoga.

The workshop was led by a skilled instructor who taught the students various yoga asanas from scratch, setting the evening for a flexible voyage. With soft tunes playing outside Square One, the students learned and performed the sutras of Suryanamaskar, Paschimottanasana, Bhujangasana, and many more, perfecting and enjoying every pose.

The two hours of practice ended with all the students meditating and engaging in conscious breathing, allowing them to connect with their inner selves and find peace within. Finally, the students came together for a victory pose, leaving the air ringing with cheers and positive energy.

Apart from physical benefits such as improved flexibility, strength, and posture, yoga can also help individuals manage stress, anxiety, and depression. In today’s fast-paced world, where stress has become an inevitable part of life, yoga can provide a much-needed escape and help individuals find peace and balance.

In conclusion, the yoga workshop organized as part of Tuning Tuesdays was a great success.
