Chitkara University Gears Up for G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds Event
Chitkara University’s forthcoming event, ‘G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds,’ is scheduled for August 24, 2023, in collaboration with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), the Group of Twenty (G20), and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, at Chitkara University, Punjab. The event is aimed at fostering intellectual exchange and promoting awareness and education among the youth, which focusses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
The G20, recognised as a premier platform for international economic cooperation, plays a pivotal role in shaping the global economic landscape. The event will address critical international economic issues and promote global citizenship education, which is central to SDG 4, by encouraging young minds to engage with the global governance structures and international economic cooperation themes of the G20.
Eminent guests such as Prof. N.R. Bhanumurthy, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics, Bangalore; Prof. Manish, Dean of the School of International Studies, Central University of Gujarat; Prof. Kanhaiya Ahuja, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science, Devi Ahilya University, Indore; and Dr. Rahul Ranjan, Consultant from RIS, Ministry of External Affairs, will provide valuable insights. Their participation in the event underscores the importance of higher education in shaping future leaders and decision-makers.
The event will feature a range of competitions, including Poster Making, Collage Making, Blog Writing, and Essay Writing, designed to foster student engagement and raise awareness about G20-related themes.
