Chitkara University is organizing a Symposium on “National Education Policy Challenges and Opportunities in Pharmacy Profession” on May 14th, 2022. A panel discussion will be organized on the topic ‘Implementation of National Education Policy and Role of Regulatory Bodies in Current Scenario’. The Chief Guest for the event is Dr. Montu Kumar Patel, President, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and President, Gujrat State Pharmacy Council Ahmedabad, Gujrat. The Guests of Honour for the event are Sushil Kumar Bansal, President, Punjab State Pharmacy Council and Member, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi; Dr.Puneet Bansal, Head of Department of Pharmacology School of Health Sciences, Central University of Panjab; Gopal Krishan Sharma, President, Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council; Dr. Rajnish Kumar Goel, Director, IQAC, Former Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Science and Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala; Sunil Sudan, President, Pharmacist Association, Jammu & Kashmir and Rohit Kansal, Member, Punjab State Pharmacy Council and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
The Symposium will attract a targeted group of scientists, researchers and academicians from healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The National Education Policy of India 2020 (NEP 2020), which was approved by the Union Cabinet of India on 29 July 2020, outlines the vision of new education system of India. The new policy replaces the previous National Policy on Education, 1986. The policy is a comprehensive framework for elementary education to higher education as well as vocational training in both rural and urban India. The policy aims to transform India’s education system by 2040.
