Chitkara Business School continues to be proudly positioned alongside some of the country’s leading names in education, in the Times B-School – BBA Edition, 2019 survey. Chitkara Business School has been placed at the 10th spot among the ‘Top 10 Universities in India; 33rd spot in ‘Top 70 BBA Institutes in India’; and 16th spot in ‘Regional Ranking – North Zone’. The survey was executed during the 1st week of May to 2nd week of June 2019.

According to Times B-School, the objective of this research was to arrive at a list of top BBA colleges offering full-time BBA courses in India. The research had 3 major modules – Desk Research, Factual survey and Perceptual Rating survey. Post collection of data a methodical analysis was done to rate the various BBA colleges that participated in the study and rank them accordingly.

The first module was Desk Research using various sources like the internet, magazines and publications, to generate a comprehensive list of BBA colleges. The second module was factual data collection with an aim to garner the objective data on various parameters from the institutes and their views on the functioning of the institutes, their infrastructure and the facilities they provided. The third module was a perceptual survey which was conducted among a selected set of respondents including HR professionals, faculty, alumni, students, parents of current students & parents of aspiring students through structured questionnaires. This was done to arrive at a ranking and rating of all the listed BBA colleges as well as any others that they are aware of. This sample survey of 700 was conducted across 9 cities viz Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. The findings from the 3 modules were combined to get a ranking of the most prominent BBA colleges functioning across the country. Equal weightage was given to factual and perceptual scores. The final ranking was given basis a combination of both these scores.

The ranking process for 2019 imbibed a holistic research module involving an objective study and a perceptual study. While the objective study is done to capture a true reflection of what exists, the perceptual study, on the other hand, is deemed important to comprehend how the different actors and the stakeholders perceive the institutes. Thus, these two modules in tandem help to make the ranking process more robust.
