Extramarks, Chitkara University ink agreement on training for prospective teachers

Chitkara University, Punjab; signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Extramarks Education India Pvt. Ltd., a leading ed-tech company; to take its commitment for teacher training at Chitkara College of Education, to the next level. The MoU was signed at the Punjab campus on September 13, 2019.

Dr. S C Sharma, Registrar, Chitkara University, Punjab; and Mr. Deep Kumar, Manager-Training, Extramarks; signed the MoU in the presence of Dr. Sangeeta Panth, Dean, Chitkara College of Education. According to the MoU, Extramarks Education India Pvt. Ltd., will be providing certified workshops for the Alpha Teachers (prospective teachers) on diverse pedagogical and technological aspects, that they would be requiring to teach Millennials.

The agreement signing ceremony was followed by a Workshop for the Alpha Teachers on ‘Collaborative Learning’, as a part of pedagogical practice. Resource person, Mrs. V Parameshwari, Head-Training, Extramarks Education India Pvt. Ltd., conducted activities, gave Alpha Teachers ideas & techniques to engage their students through group, collaborative, and cooperative learning experiences & activities, to enhance learning.
