Mr Rajendra Singh Takht interacts with students of Chitkara College of Hospitality

Chitkara College of Hospitality Management organized a guest lecture for the students of third-semester. Guest speaker – Mr Takht (Business and Marketing Director, The Majestic Crown Hotel) and former EHK with various reputed 5-star hotels, has previously worked with Wyndham group of hotels, Radisson Hotels and Park Plaza, as well as the Lalit group of hotels. Presently, he is running his own property as an entrepreneur.

He enlightened students on “Latest trends in housekeeping and scope in the hospitality industry”.

Mr Takht stressed the fact that the hospitality industry is not only about hotels, dining in and lodging. It is a wide platform of various fields of the service industry. It covers a wide number of aspects like lodging, entertainment, event planning, transportation, cruise lines, food and beverages, recreational sports and many other services.

He added that the hospitality industry is progressing at a fast pace and with the passage of time, the hospitality industry has transformed itself into a multibillion-dollar industry. He said that to be a good host, you need to be considerate, alert and always attentive. The students asked him several questions, which were answered with much aplomb.
