Chitkara School of Health Sciences observed World Optometry Day 2018 in collaboration with Sankara Academy of Vision

Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University, Punjab observed World Optometry Day on 23 March 2018. Around 150 students attended in collaboration with Sankara Academy of Vision and the event was sponsored by renowned spectacle lens brand Essilor. Mr. Raj Kumar, Head Varilux ESSILOR was a speaker, followed by Mr. Balwinder Acharya, Asstt Prof Govt College of Yoga, Chandigarh whose session was on ‘Role of meditation for better vision’.

Prof. Keerti Pradhan, CSHS, Chitkara University, gave an awareness talk on ‘Careers in the field of Optometry’. A quiz competition was hosted by ESSILOR followed by WALKATHON inside the Chitkara Campus. The theme of walkathon was based on the theme ‘YOUR VISION IS OUR MISSION’.
The upcoming optometrist showed their talent in various cultural activities like Group dance, awareness skit, solo dance and solo singing.
