Chitkara College of Nursing organized ICMR Sponsored Symposium on ‘Women & Cancer’ From Screening to Survivorship

ICMR sponsored a symposium on “Women & Cancer” from screening to survivorship focus on breast & cervical cancer was organized by Chitkara College of Nursing.

The symposium featured 4 educational talks by renowned experts- Dr. Swati (Gynecologist & Infertility Specialist, Chandigarh) shed light on the topic of “Cervical Cancer- its prevention & management”, Dr Atul Sharma Joshi (Breast Endocrine surgery, Fortis Hospital, Mohali) discussed “Breast Cancer” and Dr Bhavana Rai (Radiation Oncologist, PGIMER, Chandigarh) talked about Role of radiation in Cervical & Breast Cancer”. Dr Amarjeet Singh (Professor, Department of Community Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh discussed “Quality of Life of Cancer Patients & Challenges faced by them” while surviving in the community.

The symposium was attended by around 100 delegates from various nursing colleges of Punjab.
