Mechanical Engineering Department’s first technical club, MECHSTEIN, was formed in 2002 and it was initiated by Er. Amit Goyal, faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Chitkara Institute of Engineering Technology. It was earlier named Mecque Genie.
The responsibility of MECHSTEIN was taken up by Er. Vjshal Sharma. When the club was formed, its members were, Simranjeet Singh as CEO, Siddharth Kaul as PRO, Technical Committee being spearheaded by Vikas Chabria, Sushant Dhamija, Shashank Mankotia and Vikshit.
The club was named MECHSTEIN after four years with an aim that the club wants to churn out students who would be technically sound with Mechanical Instincts.
The purpose of MECHSTEIN club is to facilitate communication between the Engineering Society, the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and the entire Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student body in CIET.
MECHSTEIN club strives to create a social atmosphere for all mechanical engineers while representing undergraduate students’ interests within the Mechanical Engineering Department.
The members of the club include all Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students who are currently studying at the CIET, under the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Right from the start we have a broad vision of excelling in every field, we are a part of, like technical events, quiz shows, workshops etc. Our main objectives are:
