Royal Mechanical wins the Ninth T20 Tournament

The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University.

Teams that entered the semi-finals and finals were BPL Tigers defeated IHM by 44 runs in 1st Semi-Final while in 2nd Semi-Final ME 2nd year defeated ME 4th by 8 wickets and qualified for the Grand Finale. The final match was played between BPL Tigers and Royal Mechanical. BPL Tigers had set a 142-runs target for Royal Mechanical. Royal Mechanical lifted the winners’ trophy after defeating BPL Tigers by six wickets.

The onlookers had a gala time as they cheered for their respective teams and hoped for the best.

Highlights of the tournament are:

• The first match was played between ‪‎BBA first year and ME first year. ME won the match and Shivam Thakur was declared man of the match.
• Second match was played between CSE third and CCHMC. CCHMC won the match in Super Over by 4 runs and man of the match was Rahul.
• Third match was played between B.Pharm and IHM and man of the match was Prince Mohil.
• Fourth match was played between Mess Staff and Supporting Staff. Supporting Staff defeated Mess Staff by three wickets. Man of the match was Mangaldeep.
• CCHMC won the fifth match from ME third by 38 runs and man of the match was Gursangat.
• Sixth match was played between BPL Tigers and Supporting Staff. BPL Tigers won by 134 runs and man of the match was Pankaj.
• ECE third year won the eighth match by 17 runs from CSPA and man of the match was Avpreet.
• Ninth match was played between MLT and BCA and BCA won by 9 wickets with Praveen declared as man of the match.
• The tenth match was played between ME 4th year and CSE 2nd year. ME defeated CSE by one wicket and man of the match was Sourav Dhanju.
• ME Second Year defeated CSE by Six Wickets in the eleventh match and man of the match was Saurav Chauhan.
• The twelfth match was played between ME 1st year and CSE 1st year. CSE won the match by roaring 107 runs and man of the match was Shubham Bajaj.
• The thirteenth match was played between CU HP and CSE 3rd Year. CU HP defeated CSE by whopping 101 runs and man of the match was Vishal.
• CCHMC won the fourteenth match by 2 Wickets defeating the Alumni Team and man of the match was Rahul.
• ME 3rd year defeated BBA/B.Com in fifteenth match by 68 runs and man of the match was Mayank Mayur.
• The sixteenth match was played between ECE 2nd year and CSE 2nd year. CSE lost to ECE only by 42 by runs and man of the match was Shubham Kestwal.
• The eighteenth match was played between ME 4th & CCHMC. ME defeated CCHMC by 8 Wickets and man of the match was Navpreet.
• What a spectacular match. BPL Tigers took away the sheen of the nineteenth match defeating CUHP Team just by one run. Man of the Match was Gurjinder.
• The twentieth match was played between ECE 3rd year and BCA 2nd Year. BCA won by 39 runs and man of the match was Shobit.
• The twenty-first match was played between ME 1st Year and IHM. ME lost to IHM by 4 Wickets and man of the match was Anuj.
• ME 3rd defeated CSE by 2 Wickets in the twenty-second match and man of the match was Mayank Mayur.
• ME 2nd Year slashed CSE 1st year winning the twenty-third match by 9 Wickets and man of the match was Bhavya.
• IHM Team won the twenty-fourth match defeating BCA Team by 4 Wickets and man of the match was Anuj.
• ME 4th Year played the twenty-fifth match against ME 3rd Year and ME 4th won the match by 2 Wickets. Man of the match was Kunj.
• ME 2nd Year had the winning strokes in the twenty-sixth match. IHM lost the Match to ME 2nd Year by 9 Wickets and man of the match was Bhavya.
