Energy Efficiency & Conservation

With the rising costs of energy and concerns about global warming and climate change, the energy sector has assumed critical importance now. Due to scarcity of conventional fuels, the situation calls for creating a new focus on energy management. Energy saved is energy produced. It is imperative to conserve energy from micro level household to macro level heavy industries and thermal power plants.

To spread awareness amongst future generation of engineers, the State Level Debate Competition on Energy Efficiency and Conservation is being jointly organized by Punjab Energy Development Agency, Chandigarh, Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh and Chitkara University, Punjab on 16th April, 2015. The event is sponsored by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. The information brochure is attached for your ready reference.

The event will provide a platform for budding technocrats to unleash their technical acumen and engrain vitality of energy resources and its scenario.

Eligibility: Students pursuing B.Arch/B.Tech/B.E. (any stream) program in State of Punjab.

Venue: Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab

Extended Date: Last Date of registration is extended to 10th April, 2015
